1. About this service

ChinaHighSpeedTrain.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an English-language booking assistance service for international travellers wishing to purchase China Railway tickets. We act as an intermediary between you and our local ticketing partners in China. We are not China Railway (12306) and are not affiliated with it.

2. Booking process

When you place a booking, you authorise us to purchase the specified train ticket on your behalf through our local partners. China Railway tickets require identity verification using the passport details you provide. Your booking is confirmed only when we email you a ticket confirmation. We aim to confirm bookings within 2–3 business days; for departures within 7 days, we process requests within 4 business hours where possible.

For journeys outside the current China Railway sales window (typically 14 days before departure), your booking is treated as a pre-sale request. We will queue the request and confirm the ticket once sales open. The price shown is the expected price and is fixed — China Railway fares are not dynamically priced.

3. Pricing and fees

All prices displayed are final prices in USD including our booking service fee. There are no hidden charges. Payment is processed securely via Airwallex. Currency conversion is handled at the time of payment at the rate applied by your card issuer.

4. Refunds and cancellations

China Railway tickets are subject to the following cancellation fees, calculated from the scheduled departure time:

  • More than 48 hours before:5% cancellation fee
  • 24–48 hours before:10% cancellation fee
  • Less than 24 hours:20% cancellation fee
  • After departure:No refund

To request a cancellation, contact us at hello@chinahighspeedtrain.com with your booking reference. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Passenger information accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring all passenger details — including full name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth — are entered exactly as shown on the relevant passport. We cannot guarantee ticket issuance if details do not match the passport presented at the station. Errors in passenger details that prevent ticket collection are not eligible for a full refund.

6. Limitations of liability

We are not liable for train delays, cancellations, or schedule changes made by China Railway. We are not responsible for any loss arising from a passenger's failure to present valid travel documents at the station. Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the affected booking.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
